Corporate Team Building and Volunteer Experiences
Feel-good, fun-forward volunteer and team-building activities for corporate teams.
Looking to add something heartfelt and memorable to your company’s Nashville itinerary? Girls Write Nashville offers feel-good, purpose-driven volunteer and team-building experiences for corporate groups, designed to inspire your team and strengthen your commitment to community.
Whether you’re a long-time sponsor or just getting to know us, we love partnering with businesses that care about music, mental health, and equity for young people.
We custom-design creative, interactive events that spark joy, connection, and purpose. Past corporate experiences have included:
Live Student, Alumni, or Teaching Artist Performances
Enjoy powerful original music from the young artists and mentors who bring our mission to life. Great for appreciation events, conference kick-offs, lunch breaks, or cocktail hours.
Affirmation Card Station (Volunteer Activity)
Contribute to our "My hope for you..." affirmation project by writing heartfelt messages of encouragement for the young artists in our programs. These cards are shared with students at the end of creative sessions as part of our restorative practice model. A meaningful, screen-free add-on for any corporate event or conference.
Songwriting Showdown (Team-Building Activity)
Split into teams and collaborate with our professional teaching artists to write an original song in an hour! Optionally end the session with live performances and a fun panel of judges. Perfect for groups that want to think outside the box and walk away with a song of their own. Led by Nashville songwriters, this experience is an especially great way to give your gathering an only-in-Nashville moment!
This experience can be flavored competitive, silly, or support depending on the needs of your team.
Songwriting Mad-Lib (Audience Interactive)
Join our team for a fun, on-stage collaborative songwriting experience using a mad-lib format we use in our youth programs. Your group helps write the lyrics, and we bring it to life—live.

Restorative Team Workshops
Expert-led workshops rooted in creative justice, emotional intelligence, and restorative practices.
For teams looking to go deeper, we offer intentional workshops that combine music, wellness, and group dynamics. Led by Girls Write Nashville’s founder and expert teaching artists, these sessions are inspired by the same creative tools we use to support resilience, self-expression, and collaboration among youth.
These experiences are ideal for leadership teams, values-aligned departments, or organizations looking to reconnect, reflect, or build stronger internal culture.
Creative Input: Music & Burnout Recovery
Based on our restorative card deck used in trauma-informed youth programs, this reflective workshop explores energy cycles, burnout, and how creativity can restore and regulate the nervous system. Includes personal reflection, light group sharing, and a guided musical or journaling activity. Perfect for educators, nonprofit teams, or wellness-forward workplaces.
Voice & Vulnerability: Feedback Through Song
This workshop invites teams to engage in the kind of vulnerable collaboration that builds real trust. Working in small groups with our teaching artists, participants write and share original lyrics or short creative pieces, then practice giving and receiving Positive Constructive Feedback using the same affirming critique model we use with youth artists.
This experience is ideal for:
Teams navigating change or growth
Creative industries looking to improve feedback culture
Groups that want to foster psychological safety, listening, and respect
The Guild Code: Co-Creating Team Agreements
What if your team had a shared community agreement that felt inspiring and true? In this values-alignment workshop, we’ll guide your team as they co-write a living community agreement. Grounded in our restorative framework, the process helps groups articulate shared intentions and translate them into action. Includes reflection, discussion, and optional creative expression.
Sound as Sanctuary: Restorative Listening
This immersive, sensory-forward session invites participants to slow down, listen deeply, and reconnect through sound. Blending trauma-informed and creative justice practices, it uses breath work, guided listening, gentle movement, ambient music, and reflection.
No musical experience required—just an open mind.
Participants will:
Learn how sound affects the nervous system
Explore quiet as a tool for burnout recovery
Reflect on personal cues of rest vs. reactivity
Leave with tools to create sound-based sanctuary in daily life
Ideal for:
Leadership retreats
Mental health and wellness weeks
Educator and healthcare teams
Any group navigating stress or transition
Optional: Pair with our “Creative Input” workshop for continued reflection.
